How Cloud Video Management Works

Video is stored locally inside the security camera, and optionally on a local USB hard drive. This is called Edge Storage. The camera communicates with a router for internet access. No DVR is needed. There are no costs associated with hosting because video is not stored in the cloud.

Video is streamed on demand through a Cloud Portal on the internet (called SaaS - Software as a Service). This Cloud Portal is free with every Sniper Cloud Camera. Our system is network-friendly because video is only uploaded on demand so it doesn't clog up your company's network bandwidth.

Live and recorded video is viewed using Internet Explorer on a computer, or a browser on a smart phone or tablet - no software installation is needed. [Internet Explorer Screenshot]

Optional free pro-user software adds advanced functionality. This software can also be used if you want to view video locally without going through your cloud portal on the internet. [NVR-10 Screenshot]
